rusty pilot
What is a Rusty Pilot?
We understand the journey of obtaining a pilot certification, but life may throw some obstacles. Whether it be family or career related, your piloting priorities can be placed on the back-burner. However, once time becomes available, you are yearning for the thrill of taking off from that runway or to feel the resistance of the wind.
If this is you, we realize you need to stretch those flying muscles and a refresher on the regulatory hurdles so you can be an effective pilot. You may feel "rusty" finding your way back to the hanger.
We take great pride in knocking off that rust.
How do you shake off the rust?
While there are several ways you can accomplish this goal, we suggest you come to R1 for our Rusty Pilot Course. We will do three hours in our Piper Cherokee-180 and an additional two hours of ground instruction which is supported by our online ground school.

We are aware not all are Piper Pilots, but it does not hinder the process. This course is a refresher from the ASEL to the private pilot level. If you are a commercial or instrument pilot, there will not be an issue either. We can adjust time and cost according to your background and desires.

Upon successful completion, we sill sign-off a flight review as well.
