Private Pilot

Becoming a Private Pilot.

There is a long list of requirements to become a FAA Certified Private Pilot, and we can help you navigate the process. Becoming a student at R1 will prep you to take the required examinations and train for the hands-on activities required of a private pilot.

Our Certified Flight Instructor possesses the abilities to take on any student and offer them a first-class experience in obtaining a Private Pilot Certification.

THE COST

Private Pilot Training Course

 Depends on you

All anyone is required to inform you is what the cost will be for the minimum requirements multiplied by their current rates. To R1 Flying, this means the following:

- 40 hours of airplane time

- 20 hours of CFI time

- Our mandatory ground school cost and fuel

That results in a cost of $5,598.00, and that the number to compete with. Keep in mind the national average to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate is approximately 65 hours. Call or email and we can set up a video call and see if we can beat the average. Hit the button below to get started.
