Instrument Rating
Ready for the Clouds?
There is no doubt that an instrument rating will make you a better pilot, and it is a must-have to become a commercial pilot. However, where do you start?

The basic requirements are clear. 15 hours dual instruction, 40 hours actual or simulated instrument time, and 50 hours cross country PIC time. There is also a written and practical exam.

The real challenge is making sure you are getting all these tasks done efficiently without wasting time and effort. Our aircraft at R1 is well and fully equipped as a technically advanced aircraft with modern avionics.
