flight Training
Here at the R1, we guarantee that your Flight Training is the focus of our services. We believe student pilots and rated pilots deserve the best quality aviation education. To that end, we have developed an approach that is modeled around the individual.
While providing the student pilot with a first-class ground-school curriculum, we continue motivating them to the next level. We offer a training plan customized around their individual needs beginning with assessing where they currently are in their training.
If you are already a pilot and trying to progress, we start with assessing your situation and logbook and then proceed with an evaluation flight. Once completed, we tailor a plan for you.
OUR
FLIGHT TRAINING
Here at R1, we use a Piper PA28-180 for all phases of training. It has been upgrade to modern standards and is a 'TAA", or technically advanced aircraft. This allows our plane to satisfy all FAA requirements.
The Logan County Airport (6L4), where we are based, is an uncontrolled field with a 3605x75 lighted runway and GPS approaches.
Southern West Virginia is a beautiful place to fly and presents the perfect amount of challenges that produce quality aviators. The area and R1 can/will equip any pilot to take on situations they may face in their career.
